Production and application of flexible PI heaters

Flexible heaters are a product family that generally describes thin, flexible heating elements that connect the heater to objects to provide frost protection and maintain temperature. The temperature of the polyimide flexible heater can be controlled from -40°C to +250°C. These flexible heaters are mainly produced by etching technology and lamination of polyimide heaters. These types of heaters are typically 0.13-0.4mm thick and are used in many industries for fixed pipes, food heating equipment, and many applications. Since silicone rubber has excellent water resistance, it can be used for many outdoor purposes.

PI heating sheet is a product that is sandwiched between two layers of PI insulation film and a layer of heating conductor. It generates heat after being powered on. The required temperature can be adjusted according to the resistance value of the heating conductor. When the flexible PI heater is designed for a specific power, a resistive metal with resistivity characteristics is formed, and the basic principle of achieving the heater is uniform heating. Heating with a specific power to meet a customer-defined total resistance and relating the power output to the applied voltage.

The main difference between wire-wound and etched foil technology is that the etched foil production process is primarily made of materials from specific metal alloys rather than other wires.
